Assessment

« Soyez toujours une version de première qualité de vous-même plutôt qu’une version de deuxième qualité de quelqu’un d’autre » Judy Garland
In life we are constantly evaluating our environment, the situations we face and other people. This is a natural process and it makes sense to mention it.
To succeed in a job, is it enough to be technically outstanding?
To manage a team, is it enough to exceed all its sales targets?
Is being promoted always a good thing?
When we are looking to recruit a new colleague we know that personality, attitude, behaviour, motivation, etc. are going to make a difference in terms of performance in the short term, and also in terms of development possibilities. The value of human capital in the world of business is no longer in question.
Assessment is a proven and high-value method of forecasting that aims to systematically and more objectively evaluate key-competences in the workplace.
Specifics of assessment
At ProSelect we have identified three essential stages to successfully conduct an assessment.
We give you added value
The candidate is the focus of our approach, on an equal footing with our client.
Our added value can only be realised if we are sure we are speaking the same language as our client when it comes to identifying critical competences. This stage is fundamental and affects the whole value of the work we do together.
We formulate a clear, well-argued opinion. Our recommendations are concrete. We weigh up the strong points and the areas that need attention for each candidate and estimate the probability of, and the conditions needed for, their success. We can therefore be of direct assistance in making your decision. In terms of feedback we attach a lot of importance to sharing the results with our candidates and clients, so all parties can derive the maximum benefit.
Furthermore, we apply, at every level of the process, the recognised best-practices in the field of assessment, including an observational debriefing with the candidate, a competence-based interview, relevant tools and realistic and motivational exercises for a more effective validation of the results.
